TOPIC 01

Getting started

The essentials for adding ST Manager and getting your first voice message out.

06 answers
01How do I get ST Manager into my server?

Open the dashboard, sign in with Discord, choose a server where you have Manage Server access, and follow the Add ST Manager prompt. Then invite the bot with the permissions it requests.

02How do I make the bot speak?

Join a voice channel and run /say followed by your message. The bot needs permission to view, connect to, and speak in that voice channel.

03How do I enable automatic speech from a text channel?

Use /set_channel_provider in the target text channel, then send a message there. The bot requires the Message Content intent enabled in the Discord Developer Portal and appropriate channel permissions.

04Where do I change voices and server defaults?

Use /settings for your personal voice, /config for server defaults, and the dashboard for voice, channel, moderation, and analytics settings. Server-wide changes require Manage Server permission.

05Can my personal voice override a channel’s voice?

Yes. Normal messages in a configured speech channel use your personal settings first, then channel defaults, then server defaults. Use /set_my_provider and /settings, or Voice settings → My personal voice in the dashboard. /say uses your personal settings with server defaults.

06How do I follow the channel voice again?

Open Voice settings → My personal voice and choose Use defaults again. This removes your personal provider and voice choices for that server while keeping personal word filters. Fields labelled Inherited follow defaults; only fields you edit are saved as overrides.

TOPIC 02

Premium & providers

How server slots, Patreon linking, and voice providers fit together.

05 answers
01How does Patreon premium activation work?

Link the Discord account you use for the dashboard in your Patreon account settings. Sign in to the dashboard with that same Discord account, select a server, open Premium, and activate an available server slot. Membership alone does not activate every server; bot workers can take up to five minutes to refresh the entitlement.

02What does the TTS Limited membership include?

TTS Limited [1 Servers, 75k chars] includes one activated server and 75,000 premium-provider characters per calendar month. Everyone in the activated server shares the allowance. It resets on the 1st at 00:00 UTC (05:30 IST). Check usage in the dashboard’s Premium page or with /check_premium. Free Google speech remains available after the allowance runs out. See Patreon for current membership prices.

03Which providers require premium?

Amazon, Amazon Polly, Microsoft, ElevenLabs, and Flowery require server premium. Google and AEIOU do not. FakeYou is subject to its configured vote check.

04Why is a premium provider still locked?

Confirm the Patreon membership is active, Patreon is linked to the same Discord account used to sign in, and you activated a slot for the selected server. Refresh the dashboard after activation. The bot’s runtime entitlement cache can take up to five minutes to update.

05Are provider keys visible in the dashboard?

Saved provider keys are stored server-side and are not returned to the browser. The dashboard only indicates whether a key has been configured.

TOPIC 03

Troubleshooting

A few checks for when things do not sound quite right.

02 answers
01The bot is in the server but shows offline. What should I check?

Being listed as a server member does not mean the bot process is connected to Discord. Check the bot process logs for a ready message, confirm its application ID and token match, and make sure it has channel and voice permissions.

02How do recurring announcements work?

Use /loop_start with a channel, message, and interval. Use /loop_status to inspect the active loop and /loop_stop to end it.
